NEW for 2015:
-M4 high-performance model added
Just as with the 3 Series sedan, the 4 Series coupe and convertible lines gain a high-performance M4 model for 2015. Using a re-tuned version of the turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder used in the 435i, the M4 boasts 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, and can be had with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmissions in either body style. Unlike the 428i and 435i, the M4 cannot be had with xDrive all-wheel drive.
Otherwise, the 4 Series line looks pretty much the same as it did last year, in terms of equipment.
Standard kit in the 428i coupe and convertible includes auto start/stop with deactivation button, brake energy regeneration, electric power steering, adaptive LED brakelights, nine-speaker stereo, ambient interior lighting, automatic Xenon headlights with LED corona rings, tire pressure monitoring, eight airbags including driver and front passenger knee blockers, anthracite roofliner, BMW Sport doorsills, multifunction sport leather-trimmed steering wheel, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, auto up/down power windows, eight-way power heated Dakota leather front sport seats with adjustable side bolsters and thigh support, automatic climate control, instrument cluster with high-resolution extended information display, Bluetooth, auxiliary input, USB audio integration and pre-wiring for satellite radio.
435i coupe and convertible models add a heated M-sport steering wheel, M sport doorsills, and 40/20/40 split folding rear seats with through-loading.
The M4 gets M sport seats upholstered in cloth and leather, and adds a 16-speaker stereo, 20GB hard-disc media storage, and an in-dash DVD drive.
